The key for optimum performance of the body and mind is a definite plan. Not just your gear and/or tyre selection, but most important your energy needs.
The plan for effective long hour effort starts with Enervitene Gel or PowerSport Bar.
We suggest the Ebergy Strategy on the chart. This starts with Enervitene Gel. This will increase the energy level, and help maintain high glycogen levels in the needed muscles.
The Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA) in Enervitene Gel pass directly to the brain without the delay of passing through the liver. This provides more direct fuel on a psychological and physiological level, making the effort less fatiguing in the muscles and the mind. The Gel should be taken 20 minutes before the start of the event.
At around 1 1/2 to 2 hours consume one PowerSport bar, you will get a good base and have anti-cramp help via aspartates in the bar. You eill get fuel and they taste good. At three hours consume another Enervitene Gel.
As you can see in the chart the effect of the bar is wearing off as the benefits of the Gel kick in.
At 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 hours, take 1 60 ml cheer pack of Enervitene Liquid. This will provide an immediate rush of energy and eliminate the rapid "fall off" associated with more simple combinations of sugars. As you can see in the chart, the enrgy level goes in to turbo after taking the Liquid.
