The Athlete
• Glenn Macnamara is a National Duathlete in South Africa. He has
represented his country in the last 9 World Duathlon championships. He
competes in the International Powerman Long distance duathlon series
where he has achieved numerous top 10 finishes in countries like Japan
(4th), Malaysia (5th), South Africa (6th), France(6th) and the USA(6th
and 9th). Hi highest world ranking to date is 13th.
• He has competed at 17 International Powerman races.
• He finished 15th at the 2004 World Long Distance Championships in
Zofingen, Switzerland- known as the toughest duathlon in the world. |

• In 2005, he recorded a consistently high level of results. He finished
12th in Alabama, 6th in Colorado and 9th in North Carolina, 27th in
Switzerland and 6th in Malaysia.
• In his first International event for 2006, Glenn finished in 5th place in
Powerman Ohio.
The Speaker
• Glenn is also a well-known motivational speaker in South Africa. He
presents regular talks at The Castle in Kyalami( a top conference centre in
South Africa) and the 2 leading business colleges namely The Gordon
Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and Henley Graduate Institute of
Management and Technology. His clients include Sasol, Nedcor, Eskom, SABC,
Siemens, Audi, Sanlam, Standard Bank, Momentum Life, Estee Lauder, Oce
Printing Systems, and Virgin Active and Kauai.

• Currently, Glenn presents numerous talks on behalf of his sponsor, Enervit.
He presents talks to both Sports people on the topical subject of Sport
Nutrition. He also talks and advises businessmen and women on the subject of
Healthy Living and Healthy Eating. Both these talks are extremely popular
and advance bookings need to be made. |
The MC
Glenn has performed the role of MC at numerous corporate functions and
weddings. His ability to tell humorous stories in 10 different accents has
made these evenings extremely successful.
Performance coaching
Through his talks Glenn also delivers personal business and lifestyle
coaching to business executives.
Peak performance
He has also made it his lifework to find the keys to continual peak
performance. He is his own student and teacher. He has spent time with many
experts in their respective fields ranging from medical practitioners,
psychologists, physiotherapists mentors, chiropractors and holistic healers.
He is able to share with his audience proven techniques to deal with
everyday problems and stresses. Few people understand and articulate the
process of peak performance like Glenn does.

Disappointments and Illnesses

Glenn considers himself fortunate to have experienced these ‘downtimes’ so
richly. Not every race can be successful and Glenn is no stranger to the
World of Disappointments, the physical and emotional pain of an injury and
illness and what he calls “perceived failure”.
Glenn’s own experiences enable him to both share and guide others how to
understand and grow through these occurrences.
Project Pains, People and Processes
Glenn has excellent experience with the natural life cycle of new ventures
and projects through his work with a number of IT companies. He draws on
both this experience and his personal approach to his preparation for major
international races to assist others through these often challenging phases.

of around 400 000 people. He also writes for a business publication entitled
PMR in South Africa and an US publication called Endurancemag. |
